Deer Creek and Dodge County Updates
Al and Mike continued their strong runs through the Memorial Day swing. This time it came on Saturday night at Deer Creek Spedway.

Al gained two spots from his heat racing starting position finishing 2nd. That was good enough to make the A-Main and the re-draw. Starting third, Al stayed up front all race long. Al battle Ryan Ruter for the lead through middle part of the race. Al would see Kelly Shryock slip by late in the race, and Al ran home in 3rd.

Mike had to run a B-Main to make his way into the show. Mike Hejna was moving forward through the 24-car field, but trouble would strike, and Mike would be listed as a "DNF" in 16th place.

On Sunday night, it was off to Dodge County Speedway. Al grabbed his 3rd Top 5in the last four races finishing 4th. Mike had the bad luck voodoo hit for a second straight night finishing 24th in the 27-car field. 27-cars on the track at Dodge Co.? That's nuts!!

USMTS - Murray Co. Update
Al and Mike Hejna hit the Murray County Speedway for another night of racing on the USMTS trail.

Mike grabbed another Heat Race Win during this swing. That put him into the A-Main. Mike came home 7th in the main event.

Al struggled in his heat race, and he found himself deep in his B-Main. Starting 13th, he did manage to finish 6th, but that was one shy of transfering to the "A". Forced to take provisional, Al made the most of his shotgun start. He finished 14th.

Saturday night, Hejna Brothers Racing will be at Deer Creek Speedway. RaceRPM.com will have Limited Trackside Updates through the night at Deer Creek.

Top 5's at Park Jefferson
Al & Mike Hejna traveled west to Jefferson, SD for the first of 4 straight nights of racing over the Memorial Day Weekend.

Mike grabbed the win in his heat. He earned enought passing points to be in the Top 8 in passing points. Mike redrew 7th for the start of the A-Main. Mike finished 4th at Park Jefferson.

Al started 9th in his heat race. He did manage to work his way into 3rd place, but it was not enough passing points to lock a spot in the A-Main. Stuck running a B-Main, Al ran his laps and finished 3rd. Al rolled out in 17th starting position and drove forward finishing right behind brther Mike (5th).

On Friday night, Hejna Brothers Racing hit the Murray County Speedway in Slayton, MN. On Saturday night, RaceRPM.com will have limited updates of the USMTS stop at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, MN. Sunday it is off to Dodge County Speedway (Kasson, MN).
