Hard Fought Top 10's for Al
On St. Patrick's Day Weekend, Al Hejna traveled to the West Siloam Speedway in West Siloam Springs, OK. It was a double-header weekend with the United States Modified Touring Series. Both nights the black number "7" struggled in the heat races, but come feature time, it was a march to the front for two hard fought top ten finishes.

On Friday night, Al took the win in B-Main #1. That put the Rookies Rockin' Sports Bar number '7' in the 14th starting position for the 35-lap A-Main. By race end, Al had cracked the Top 5 and finished 5th.

On Saturday night, Al had to come from even further back. After being forced to take a provisional start, he moved from 24th to 6th when the checkered flag fell.

That never say die attitude helped Al Hejna continue to be a player in the USMTS National Point Standings. Hejna sits in fourth overall.

Mike Not Racing Until April 6
Mike Hejna will make his 2007 racing debut April 6th when the United States Modified Touring Series hits Bloomfield Speedway (Bloomfield, IA), and he will then hit Scotland Co. Speedway (Memphis, MO) the next night.

Mike's stepson Conner Nosbisch is in fifth grade and has qualified for the state wrestling meet. Mike will spend time with his stepson instead of hitting the track.

Al Sweeps 2007 Season Opener
With a stout racecar, flawless driving and a little help from lapped traffic, Al Hejna picked up where he left off in 2006 with a victory in Friday night's season opener for the O'Reilly Auto Parts United States Modified Touring Series in the 4th Annual Nebraska Spring Thaw at the Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, NE.

Although the starting field and track conditions were much different than Friday night's season opener, the end result was the same. After leading every lap from the pole position in the Holley "A" Main, Al Hejna was back in victory lane for the second time in less than 24 hours.
