Trouble in his heat race at Steele County Speedway (Owatonna MN) for Al forced to a the trailer for the rest of the night. HBR did not travel to Cresco Speedway (Cresco, IA) on Friday..

Farley & West Union Race Recap
A heat race win Tuesday night at Farley Speedway (Farley, IA) put Al Hejna into the top 8 in passing points. Al redrew 5th for the start. Al finished 11th. Wednesday night at Echo Valley Speedway (West Union, IA) was not to kind to the team. A 'DNF' was put into the score books for Al officially finishing 20th.

USMTS Hunt Update
A rough night was the story for Al Hejna at the USMTS Hunt began at Thunderhill Speedway (Mayetta. KS). An early exit in his heat race was followed by another DNF in the B-Main. Al was able to use a provisional start for the A-Main, but third and final DNF was the final results (officially 20th)

On Friday night, things didn't fair much better. After finishing second in his B-Main, Al started 15th for the 40-lap A-Main. Another early exit placed Al 22nd in the final rundown.

On Saturday night, the USMTS Stars traveled to Lebanon, MO. Another second place finish in a B-Main put Al in the 15th starting spot. Al finished this time with a 13th place on the score card.

Tough Night at Beatrice Speedway
Al traveled to Beatrice Speedway (Beatrice, NE) Wednesday night, and bad luck came along with. Trouble in his heat race forced a DNF. Trouble in the B-Main also forced a DNF and the end of his racing night at Beatrice.
Top 10 for Al at Humboldt
After racing his way into the A-Main Tuesday at Humboldt Speedway (Humboldt, KS), Al raced from 16th to 9th by the end of the 40-lap feature.

Top 10 for Al at Scotland County
Al Hejna wrapped up the 5-day swing with the USMTS Stars Saturday night at the Scotland County Speedway (Memphis, MO). Al was not able to earn enough passing points to transfer to the A-Main. Al grabbed the win in his B-Main. After starting 14th for the 35-lap A-Main, Al worked his way through the filed for a 6th place finish.

UP NEXT: The next event for the USMTS is this Tuesday, August 7th, at the Humboldt Speedway (Humboldt, KS).

Good Then Bad for Al at Bloomfield
Al Hejna dominated his heat race Friday at Bloomfield Speedway (Bloomfield, IA). After starting 6th, Al worked his way to the front and won. To matters even more exciting, he re-drew the pole for the 35-lap feature. Al led the first eight laps before problems forced the number "7" to the pits early suffering a DNF (official finish 15th).

Top 5 in Knoxville, IL
Al Hejna made the trip to Knoxville, IL for the USMTS Ed Sheckler Memorial at the Knox County Fairgrounds. Al started 5th in his heat and finished 3rd. That helped him earn enough passing points to start 12th for the A-Main. He worked his way into the top five by race end for a 5th place finish.

Al currently sits 4th in the USMTS National Points standings.

On Friday night, the USMTS road warriors travel to the Bloomfield Speedway (Bloomfield, IA) for another Central Region clash featuring Ken Schrader. The five-race swing wraps up at the Scotland County Speedway (Memphis, MO), for the final event in the Central Region.

Cresco / Southerm Iowa Results
CRESCO: Tue. Jul. 31st
AL won his heat race which was good enough to make the A-Main. Al started 3rd and finished 3rd.

Mike finished 5th in his heat race. That forced to him to have to run a B-Main. He finished 3rd and transfer to the A. Problems during the A-Main and Mike was listed as a DNF (24th).

SOUTHERN IOWA: Wed. Aug. 1st
Al finished 4th in his heat. Despite starting 8th, he did not earn enough passing points to transfer to the A-Main. He won his B-Main. Al started 13th, but was only able to advance one spot by race end.

Mike had trouble in his heat race and scored a DNF. He was not able to start the his B-Main.
