Florida Trip Cancelled Due to business plans, Al Hejna has been forced to drop the February Florida trip. Al was very much looking forward to this trip, but business is business, and this will be good in the long run. The rest of the schedule is still on as scheduled at this time.

Tentative 2008 Race Schedule Posted Al Hejna Racing has posted its tentative 2008 Racing Schedule to the web site (2008 Schedule). The 2008 JDRF Tour begins in February as the Harris Auto Racing / Rookies Rockin' Sports Bar number "7" heads to Florida. The All Iowa portion of the Tour begins in April.

The goal of this year's JDRF Tour is generate awareness and raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. JDRF is the leading charitable funder and advocate of type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research worldwide. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Type 1 diabetes is a disease which strikes children suddenly and requires multiple injections of insulin daily or a continuous infusion of insulin through a pump. Insulin, however, is not a cure for diabetes, nor does it prevent its eventual and devastating complications which may include kidney failure, blindness, heart disease, stroke, and amputation.

AHR Looks to Start '08 in Florida As Al Hejna Racing continues to work on the upcoming racing schedule, the team has decided to start the 2008 racing season in Florida. The Rookies Rockin' Sports Bar, Harris Auto Racing, number "7" will hit Volusia and East Bay in February to kick off the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Tour.

Hejna Becomes Road Warrior in 2008 The groundbreaking Reality TV show series documents the lives of six racecar drivers, known as the Barnyard Nation, as they try to make a living in one of the most exciting sports in America: Modified Dirt Track Racing.

Al Hejna has not not become one of the newest members of the Barnyard Nation, but he will also be one of the six featured in this Reality TV show called "Road Warriors: Wide Open."

Hejna Working on 2008 Schedule Al Hejna Racing is currently working on the 2008 racing schedule. The main goal in 2008 is to hit every track in the state of Iowa on the "Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Tour."
