Al Hejna on Dirt Nation
DIRT NATION<&trade> Live! - the only motorsports broadcast to focus solely on the hot topics in all of dirt track racing, has booked another stellar lineup for Monday, March 31 of 2008. The two hours of non-stop dirt talk will consist of hot-button issues regarding driver safety, tires, new rides, sponsors, and any current issue that is rocking the dirt track world.

Al Hejna, driver of Hejna Racing's #7 Casey's General Stores Harris on the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) joins the show to talk about the unique promotion/sponsorship program that USMTS has put together for the 2008 season. Hejna will also weigh in on the 2008 season and driver safety.

Dirt Nation airs on the web at www.RaceTalkLive.com Monday nights from 7-9 (central).
Tough Weekend in Missouri For Hejna

Good Start at McCool, But Bad Luck Later
Al Hejna Racing took the black no. "7" to the Junction Motor Speedway (McCool Junction, NE). Friday, March 21st was the first of two nights there with the Untied States Modified Touring Series.

Friday night, Hejna started deep in the grid for heat race number 1, and raced his way to a second place finish. That earned him enough passing points to make the Top 8 - and in the redraw for the the 30-lap A-Main later that night.

Hejna started the main event on the inside of row two. Trouble forced an early retirement for Hejna and was scored 21st on the official final rundown.

Saturday night will again be at the 3/8-mile speedplant in McCool Junction, NE.

Hard Work Brings Top 10 at Thunderhill
On Sunday, March 16, 2008, Al Hejna Racing hit the Thunderhill Speedway (Mayetta, KS) for another night of racing with the stars of the United States Modified Touring Series.

Hejna started deep in the field for his heat race. He moved forward, but didn't earn enough USMTS Passing Points to make the A-Main. Forced to run a B-Main, Hejna missed a transfer to the main event by one spot.

Hejna was forced to take a provisional start, but he made the most of it. After starting "shotgun" on the grid (24th), Hejna worked through the field and finished 10th.

Tough Start to 2008 Season
Al Hejna Racing traveled to Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, KS for the start of the team's racing season. It was also the season opener for the Untied States Modified Touring Series (USMTS).

Hejna took the win in Heat Race #3, and he redrew the number one starting position for the 40-lap A-Main. Trouble forced Hejna to retire early from the event (official finish = 17th).

Sunday night, AHR travels to Thunderhill Speedway in Mayette, KS.

Season Opener At McCool Postponed
The O'Reilly USMTS National Tour season opener scheduled for this Friday and Saturday, March 7-8, at the Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, NE, has been postponed.

According to track promoter Delmar Friesen, the sub-freezing temperatures this week will greatly hamper track preparation. Rather than subject fans and drivers to arctic cold and a possible rough racing surface, the event has been postponed.

The event will now be held on Friday and Saturday, March 21-22. In the event of a cancellation on Friday, we will not race on Sunday due to the Easter Holiday.

Friday's event will pay $2,000 to win while the victor in Saturday’s main event will pocket $3,000. More than 70 entries are once again expected for the annual event at the 3/8-mile high-banked clay oval.
