Memorial Day Weekend Update
Al Hejna Racing traveled along with the United States Modified Touring Series during their swing through Iowa and Minnesota.

WEDNEDAY: Southern Iowa Speedway (Oskaloosa, IA)
Hejna made the Top 8 in Passing points. He re-drew 6th for his start in the 30-lap A-Main. Hejna finished 2nd.

THURSDAY: Cresco Speedway (Cresco, IA)
Again Hejna made the Top 8 in passing points. He re-drew 8th for his A-Main starting spot. Hejna came home 7th.

FRIDAY: Chateau Raceway (Lansing, MN)
Hejna had to race his way into the A-Main through a B-Main. Starting 20th, he was able to work through traffic and survive on the tight track to finish 6th.

SATURDAY: Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, MN)
Hejna ran in the Top 2 through most of the A-Main until he was passed by eventual race winner Jason Hughes. Hejna finished 3rd.

SUNDAY: Doge County Speedway (Kasson, MN)
Another Top 8 in passing points night. Hejna re-drew 3rd for his A-Main start. Hejna was official scored 11th by race-end.

MONDAY: Steele County Fairgrounds (Owatonna, MN)
Hejna qualified for the A-Main in the 11th starting position. Hejna moved forward and finished 6th.

Iowa Tour Kicked Off With 100th Win
Al Hejna Racing kicked off the 2008 Iowa JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) Tour Friday, May 9, 2008 at Mineral City Speedway (Fort Dodge, IA). After an early race mishap, Hejna worked his way back through the field for the win. That win was number "100" for Al Hejna.

Tonight (Saturday, May 10), AHR is slated to race on the half-mile in Webster City, IA - Hamilton County Speedway. The following weekend will see the Harris Auto Racing / Rookies Rockin' Sports Bar number 7 hit Algona Speedway (Algona, IA) and Hancock County Speedway (Britt, IA).
